Our meal was absolutely amazing. Creative, beautifully plated and so delicious. The service was attentive and knowledgeable. This is a restaurant you definitely want to try.

Excellent service! Very clean. Beautiful and cozy ambiance. Wonderful authentic Peruvian cuisine. The Tuna Poke was out of this world... it comes with watermelon so add that to the variety of flavors with each bite...YUM! The shrimp & fish ceviche with tigers milk was to die for! It brought me back to a meal my husband and I couldn’t get enough of on our honeymoon trip to Tahiti many years ago!! The braised shorts ribs... tender and amazing! The homemade guacamole.... heaven in every bite! We even saved room for dessert... churros... mouthwatering!! The presentation with every dish was gorgeous. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful date night for me and Hubby!

Star struck! Darwin came out to our table and personally asked how everything was! He was kind, passionate about his food, and genuinely cared about the experience we were having while enjoying his amazing flavors and the intimate atmosphere of his hidden gem of a restaurant.

A fantastic place run by a lovely husband and wife. Clean food, great presentation, and we could not recommend their tuna poke enough! Thank you for a great evening. If we lived closer, we’d eat here every day!

Darwin Peruvian Eatery has the best Chef and support staff by far in Sarasota, FL. Their food and drinks are absolutely amazing as well as the atmosphere.Due to our current state through COVID-19, they have opened up their doors for curbside pickup. The curbside menu gives you the right amount of options to still experience and get a taste of their flavorful dishes. They do not disappoint and I highly recommend a visit!

Excellent place to dine in Sarasota. I recommend it. The food is very gourmet, it has a nice latin taste and the place is beautiful. The staff is nice and welcomes you very friendly. By the way this place is pet friendly

Fantastic food and service. The watermelon and tuna appetizer was refreshing and delicious. The octopus was one of the best I've had in the US, but not quite as good as in Portugal. Slightly less tender, but extremely flavorful and delicious. The pork belly was crisp and wonderful, and the poke bowl was fantastic. Not there cheapest meal I've had, but one of the best for fairly contemporary fusion cuisine, and one of my favorites in Sarasota. Also, next to Trader Joe's, so you can cross that off your list after the meal!The restaurant's ambiance is on the darker side, but perfect for date night. It wasn't crowded when I was there, so it also wasn't very loud.

Absolutely 5 Stars!!! Some of the most delicious dishes I have ever had. The severing staff was amazing. We were treated with the utmost respect. The food came out of the kitchen with no wait at all. Every dish had amazing flavors and left the taste buds wanting more. Thank you to all of the staff for such a wonderful dining experience. Will definitely return for more.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Sarasota! I've been going here since they opened and have returned several, several times. Anytime friends ask me where to go to eat, this is my full proof suggestion and anyone I take here ends up loving it too. I enjoy trying new things each time and although I don't understand 90% of whats on the menu, it doesn't matter. Everything has been AMAZING. So glad you guys expanded, keep the awesome vibes & food coming! <3

Amazing! We've been dining at Darwin's restaurants since early 2000s. Never slowed down, never stopped inventing. And always delicious!

From the cleanliness, to the wall art, to the chef and the staff... this place is just wonderful. They pay attention to detail and the food is SO colorful and flavorful. It’s a great place to plan a date or take a friend. Live music nights are a hit and their food and cocktail menu are both very impressive. 5 stars!

THE BEST TACO TUESDAY! Chef Darwin builds each dish as a masterpiece. The flavors of Peru and cuisines of other cultures clearly pour out of his fingers. Every dish we ever order offers a novel experience. His ceviche has house-made dry corn, which I have never encountered before. His tostones offer a crispy texture with a soft inside, which are the best I have ever had. Each protein is a delightful blend of flavorings, hence the reason we ordered one of each taco! The restaurant is a unique global experience.

A great place to experience quality Peruvian food with great service. The decor is beautiful, the food delicious and the staff friendly providing excellent service.

I felt comfortable with the clean smell in the air as I walked in and the waitress was wearing a mask and gloves appropriately. The atmosphere is comfortable with fun, yet relaxing music. This is the best food I've had since the COVID crisis began. It came out faster than I expected and was absolutely amazing!! I got a strip steak with chimichuri, grilled plantains, and beet relish with a spicy margarita to drink. The waitress was very attentive and the manager checked on me afterwards to see how I liked it. The meals the neighboring tables ordered also looked like fine cuisine, yet the prices are reasonable. I am telling all my friends and will definitely be back to try more!!

I am a big supporter of local restaurants and was happy to support Darwin’s in this difficult time. Sadly, our take out experience was not great. The steak tacos were awful, small pieces of hard meat, flavor less. We ordered a chopped salad that we didn’t get. When I called to make sure we weren’t charged for it, the person who answered said she took my order and I didn’t order it. ( I DID order it) . Wish she had just said she was sorry.

The night was slow, we had to remind the server a few times about our drinks. Tried a variety. A little pricey on some items. The skirt steak was probably my favorite. We had a berry mousse dessert we were not fans of. The restaurant is kind of an odd location as well. Would try again, but wish they had beers on tap, not just cans.

A five star restaurant! Delicious food,pleasant atmosphere and delightful server. Will definitely eat there again.

This is my first time in Sarasota I was looking for Peruvian food and I found this place. Since the moment I read the menu and saw the photos online I knew it was gonna be good. We sat at the bar the service was really good,friendly people they were telling us about how the restaurant start and everything. The food was one of the best meals I had in a long time so definitely recommended! I tried before some others Peruvian restaurants in USA but sometimes you feel like something is missing maybe because it’s hard to get all the spices and ingredients but last night I felt like I was in Peru the decorations are also beautiful, elegant and nice jungle paints on the wall.

One of my all time favorites in Sarasota. Excellent food! Love the ceviche and the braised short ribs. I was just there for taco Tuesday. Yum!!
